Tan Sri Datuk Seri Mazlan Bin Lazim

Tan Sri Datuk Seri Mazlan Bin Lazim

Tan Sri Mazlan brings 35 years of experience with the Royal Malaysian Police during which he was chief of police in two states, led the logistics and technology portfolios until his last-held position as Deputy Inspector-General of Police. He currently has leadership roles in several listed companies and private firms. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Resource Economics), a Master’s in Science (Human Resources Development), and an Honorary Doctorate of Strategic Management.

Datuk Seri Chai Kee Kan

Datuk Seri Chai Kee Kan is the visionary founder of KK Supermart & Superstore Sdn Bhd who transformed a modest sundry store into a nationwide convenience powerhouse with ambition, discipline and relentless drive. He is a chartered accountant and a seasoned entrepreneur. He is responsible for defining and driving the vision, mission, and strategic direction and growth of the company. He oversees financial performance, drives operational excellence, fosters leadership growth, and identifies new market opportunities. His work in retail and enterprise development has been recognised by several bodies. He was awarded the Asean Master Class Award in Retailing Excellence by the Asean Retail-Chains & Franchise Federation in 2016, the SEBA Entrepreneur of the Year by Yayasan Usahawan Malaysia in 2024 and the Asean Distinguished Entrepreneur Lifetime Achievement Award in the Asean Sarawak Business and Economic Forum 2025. Beyond business, Datuk Seri Chai is a committed community leader. He has served as the Chairman of the Federal Territory Honorary RELA Club since 2017, the President of the Malaysia Chinese Assembly Hall since 2015, the President of the Ti-Ratana Welfare Society Malaysia since 2016, the Vice President of the Malaysia-Nepal Business Council since 2014.

Candy Chai Oi Cheng

Candy Chai brings over 30 years of experience in administrative, accounting and data management roles in the construction, IT and retail industries. She manages product data integrity, ensures accuracy across itemisation, pricing and inventory information. She is responsible for onboarding new suppliers and products, coordinating the roll out of promotional and marketing plans, identifying trends and opportunities, and executing strategic plans to achieve sales targets.

Sherman Lam Yuen Suen

Sherman Lam has more than 25 years of broad-based senior management experience in corporate advisory, treasury management, capital markets, corporate finance and investments with financial institutions as well as corporate board experience in public listed and privately held entities in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and China. He is a Chartered Accountant of the MIA and holds a Master’s of Business Administration in Finance.

Agnes Chan Kim Hong

Agnes Chan is an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya and a Chartered Secretary and Chartered Governance Professional of The Chartered Governance Institute. She co-founded the legal firm Messrs Azlinda & Agnes Chan, and has served as the Chairperson of the Corporate & Conveyancing Practice Committee of the Kuala Lumpur Bar. She has served in public roles, including on the boards of the Labuan Port Authority and the Malaysian Rubber Council.

Chin Wei Min

Chin Wei Min brings more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, particularly in business strategy formulation, large scale transformation and complex technology implementation programmes. From 2016 to 2022, he was Executive Director of the Digital Strategy & Innovation Division at the Securities Commission, where he played a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the industry’s digital agenda. He holds a Bachelor’s of Engineering (Hons) in Aeronautical Engineering.

Chin Shih Hui

Chin Shih Hui has nearly 30 years of accounting and investment banking experience and being in charge of the portfolios of conglomerates and institutions. She was involved in various local and foreign funding transactions, corporate exercises and capital market fund raising transactions. She serves as an advisor to a large plantation group with international trade. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and is a Chartered Accountant of the MIA and a Fellow of CPA Australia.

Tee Kok Hiem

Tee Kok Hiem oversees daily operations of KK Mart’s business ensuring operational alignment and compliance. He executes the business expansion plan, including sourcing potential locations for new distribution centres, managing new store renovations and overseeing licensing for all stores in Peninsular Malaysia. He has over 20 years of experience in retail, manufacturing, product development, distribution, contract negotiations and customer relationship.

Ho Lai Wah

Ho Lai Wah

Ho Lai Wah oversees operational innovation and process improvement through store compliance and controls (such as KPI audits, stock take, and CCTV monitoring) as well as digital and system-enabled initiatives and leading human capital initiatives, including workforce planning, training and leadership development, together with strengthening internal controls and reporting frameworks for business growth. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master’s in Business Administration.

Yap Kit Foong

Yap Kit Foong oversees all corporate, financial and accounting functions including financial planning, budget control, treasury management, tax planning and forecasting. He has played a pivotal role in guiding the finance and accounting teams in improving financial processes and strengthening financial governance, ensuring the effective management of financial resources and fostering sustainable growth. He is a fellow of the ACCA and a Chartered Accountant of the MIA.

Aida Lim Lean Ling

Aida Lim Lean Ling

Aida Lim is responsible for the overall management of IT functions and leads KK Mart’s digital transformation agenda, overseeing initiatives to align technology and data with business priorities. She developed the strategic digitalisation roadmap that defines KK Mart’s vision and drive innovation, optimises operations and enhances customer and employee experiences. She brings 30 years of experience in digital transformation in various industries and also in working in different government agencies. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fishery Science and is a certified Project Management Professional by the Project Management Institute and a Certified Artificial Intelligence Strategist of the Institute of Strategic Intelligence (World Economic Forum).

Robert Chai Che Hiung

Robert Chai Che Hiung

Robert Chai is responsible for supplier management and sourcing, product sourcing, identifying the optimal product portfolio and mix, negotiating contracts and pricing, and managing ongoing business relationships to expand complementary income sources for KK Mart. He joined KK Mart in 2001, oversaw store operations at the very first outlet in Kuchai Lama, and laid the foundation for the procurement division.

John Chai Kee Mal

John Chai is responsible for the overall operations of KK Mart stores including the setting up of new stores, staff management and facility maintenance. He began at KK Mart in 2004 as a regional manager in charge of the second store in Sunway Mentari. In 2017 he led a growing operations team of over 4,000 employees driving operational excellence of stores, layout design and maintenance.
